The prison was hot, and that was not good. The temperature was rising because of the extreme heat that was hitting the city, and it made me feel suffocated. It was a humid and suffocating heat, sweat covered my whole body and mixed with the earth.

“Wake up, ugly girl.” said a familiar voice.

I recognized Regle as soon as I blinked my eyes to avoid opening them suddenly, I was not used to it. Receiving visitors was rare for me, except for Kane’s father, who was responsible for my not starving to death.
