“You’ve come to kill me.” Karl observed me from one of the steps.
He didn’t look like a nobleman at that moment, he was dressed in common clothes, rags without any ornaments of any kind. I advanced without hesitation, with utmost severity.
I drew my sword.
“You’ve guessed right.” My gaze was cold, I didn’t care at all if he died.
Not after what he had done. I decided that I would kill him myself for daring to conspire against me to get me away from my friends. Because there were no more explanations other than that. They provoked Larry to such an extent that his powers collapsed. They wanted that to happen so that he would be condemned.
I was not going to go against my friend, against one of the few I had left. The interrogator’s loyalty was unquestionable to me. After everything we had been through, that offense had to be paid for with blood.
Fabricio had been right after all, I couldn’t trust that lying vermin.
I wouldn’t delay
