I had given the warning, at least I could be at peace with myself. They didn’t understand, it was understandable, but they didn’t understand anything.
I crossed my arms, somewhat annoyed. I tried to walk through the corridors looking for something to think about that would make me feel less angry with that jerk Larry.
When I visited John, I almost killed him myself. His malice seemed to know no bounds. Cutting off a musician’s hand was a despicable act. Only someone like Larry could do that. It wasn’t fair that he had a power like mine. He didn’t earn it cleanly. It was a mistake.

“What do you want?” I asked, not realizing that I was perhaps being quite rude.

“Don’t get involved in our affairs,” she said, as if by way of warning.
