Chapter 430. Voice of Command
DOVE
I straightened up. A queen should always stand perfectly straight, standing tall to show that highly necessary imposing character. Especially when I was only observing Fabricio for a few seconds. He was completely hunched over, with the impression that he was twenty years older than he was, with a sullen voice and revealing entirely a bad temper and a most deplorable image.
He was facing the people with shouts and insults. He started using the word “ignorant” and that was not a good sign. He would soon lose control of the situation entirely. The last thing he wanted was a civil war in the palace. Having a war was more than enough.
Eussim’s eyes lit up when she heard my voice taking the floor.
“Whoever wishes to file a formal complaint against Count Fabricio must do so now, before his queen.” I declared, in a firm voice, looking straight ahead.
The audience fell silent. The whole crowd fell silent at once. No one could stand up to the queen’s word.
