I read the letter several times to fully grasp what was happening. It was like a sick joke.
“He’s being controlled,” Karl said again, kicking and punching objects at random in the uncertainty caused by the situation.
“I know, damn it, I know. But I didn’t expect the worm to be so weak,” I said, cursing Fabricio in my mind. “He should have fought not to be controlled by my brother.”
I thought about Larry. He, with all his willpower, was also controlled by Zack. But it wasn’t the same case. When you loved someone with all your heart, there was no way anyone could convince you or brainwash you into hurting the person you loved most in the world. That’s not possible. I could never hurt Dove, or my children.
