“Waiting is all I can do,” I said, looking at Carmen, smiling quite calmly.
“Sometimes I feel like you’re not human,” she replied, her eyes narrowed as she sipped her third cup of coffee.
“And why is that?” I asked, confused.
I watched Cethium, who was scribbling on a parchment. He filled parchments with doodles. He never drew specific things; he didn’t have much patience. His brother drew kittens of all sizes and with different characteristics. It was funny that the two of them always started doing similar tasks, but they turned out so different.
“You don’t want to run out and find out what’s going on. Oh my God, so much has happened. It’s crazy.” Carmen crossed her arms, she was anxious, I saw her biting her nails.
Every hour seemed like an eternity to her. I watched her pacing, walking hurriedly. She asked the guards if there was any news and the answer was always the same. The time of an expedition and an exploration was never short. Carm
