I had to set aside my enmity with Larry to help Fabricio. He coughed, and the blood that came out didn’t look good at all. I ordered the soldiers to take him immediately to the palace. But first, I covered him with the fabrics of the clothes that were on the floor because if people recognized him, they might want to attack him.
“That’s sensible. If they recognize him, they’ll want to kill him.” Larry said, looking at me with narrowed eyes.
I didn’t need his approval. I started to saddle my horse to return. I gestured for them to give horses to the women who were with Larry. I had no idea who they were, but they appeared with Tachje and were surely part of the group.
I was expecting to see Jason. I was disappointed that he wasn’t there. I had a feeling he would come and it was wrong.
Larry was following me, from his horse.
“You should be grateful I didn’t kill you.” I said, as I made the horse go faster.
“Why didn’t you kill me?” he ask
