“Looks like you have questions.” Tachje observed, his eyes narrowed, his characteristic growl present.
As if he had read my mind.
I tried not to respond. His gaze probed me, he persisted. I was tired, I could tell. Resting to heal was not proving to be easy for him. He looked anxious, his animal eyes were very expressive.
My son had fallen asleep at the foot of the bed. Nico was drawing at his small table. The others had all left. They wanted to eat, sleep a little. Everything that would make them rest and prepare to be transported to the kingdom. Dove went to see her lost sister. It didn’t seem very convenient to me that Lily had appeared at this very moment.
