Chapter 22. Undisputed
Lucas lets out a loud yawn and then slowly slides down the bed. He walks toward the window rubbing his bleary eyes. With his party ruined and his father’s house considered an act of crime scene, Mr. and Mrs. Willie accepted the plea of their daughter Jane to accommodate Lucas for a while until the investigations were over.
Immediately Lucas heard a full-fisted knock he quickly went to answer the door. He was staying in one of the guest rooms in Mr. and Mrs. Willie’s house.
“Good morning Lucas,” Jane greeted putting up a fancy smile.
“Good morning, Jane. How was your night?”
“I wouldn’t say fine with what just happened last night.”
“I understand because I feel the same way.” Lucas invites Jane in and shuts the door. He clears his throat and opens his mouth to speak. “I must confess, your parents have a good heart. I appreciate them allowing me to stay here for a while.”
“Just feel at home,” Jane smirked.
