Chapter 27. Unwanted Fuss

“Holy shit!” Nick cried out in disbelief.

He recalls his late grandmother telling him ‘‘the days are evil and never to take off the pendant.’’ He never knew the pendant could protect him from supernatural creatures like werewolves. It’s now clear to him that Lucas having eye contact with the pendant was what made him draw away from him.

Lucas was still snarling at Nick with evil in his eyes. He couldn’t attack him because of the pendant.
