Chapter 38. Home Coming

Jane was left in the dark with no idea of where Lucas had gone to. Her parents have gone to bed and she was left alone sitting on Lucas’ bed wondering where he is.

The night was chilly. A gentle chilled breeze howled through the open window. She quickly got up to shut the window. Her best thought was that Lucas might have gone out through the window. She can’t still place her mind where he might be.

She was worried. At first, she thought he might have gone back to the strange land he told her about a while ago. Her main concern was safety of Lucas. A lot has been going on in New Orleans and she doesn’t want him to fall victim to that. She thought of the best way to help. She finally made up her mind to call Detective White.

“Hello, Detective. White, Lucas is missing,” she said over the phone.
