Chapter 48. I’m Lost
[Somewhere uptown]
The dominant footsteps that echoed against the concrete walls of an old building awakened Lucas. When he tried to move, he was restrained by chains. The dangling of the chain around his neck couldn’t let him move his head freely.
Both hands were chained to a wooden chair. When he tried to move his feet, he was restrained by the shackles on his feet. He tried to get a clear look at the situation at hand but his eyes were still bleary.
“Am I a dog that you chained me like one?”
A steady and repeated laugh in a silly way followed suit immediately after the dominant footsteps seized.
“Of course, you’re a dog… a bad doggy!”
It was the voice of Lydo, the lady that Lucas opposed in the alley. He could recognize her voice. Even though he could feel his powers locked up, he can still recognize the voice of the people he heard.
