Chapter 90. Trapped

“Lucas, wake up!” a loud voice called out.

The voice came growing louder and closer in Lucas’ ear. He quickly sat up and started gazing around. Nothing seems familiar. There was a slow-moving creek close by. It’s quite different from the bayou at Hilltop.

As he was about to get to his feet, the voice came again, “You’re not supposed to be here.”

He flicked around. He recognizes the voice. It was Bonnie speaking. There she is standing and staring down at him next to a tree.

Lucas quickly sprang up to his feet and wanted to make a run for it. Bonnie disappeared and reappeared before him. “You’re not supposed to be here!” she yelled. “You don’t belong here.”

“Please don’t hurt me!” Lucas cried out. He was terrified like a scared little child.

“I will not hurt you but you need to leave—you don’t belong here!” she disappeared into thin air.
