As I am about to leave the room I hear my cell phone ring in my hands, my heartbeat automatically quickening when I see the name of the hospital on the device's caller ID.

I close my eyes for a second before I bring the cell phone up to my ear and answer the call:

“Yes?"

“Mr. Colucci?", a female voice asks on the other end of the call.

“That's me."

“Mr. Colucci, I'm calling to let you know that the results of your latest tests are ready to be opened, do you want me to make an appointment with Dr. Felix to get the results?"

I don't need to be a magician to guess what comes next in my life, I know very well when my doctor opens the results of this examination, I know perfectly well what he will tell me.

“Yes, please. I am available tomorrow morning."

“Okay, perfect! Your appointment with Dr. Felix is scheduled for tomorrow at 09:00, all right?"
