Cassandra’s POV
It took about two hours of cold, thirst, and hunger to finally find the row of cells deeply concealed in the cave. It was situated in another hollow point deep below where I stood. How much deeper could this cave go? I carefully looked down into the almost pitch-black abyss. How could prisoners be locked here? They’d go blind before the next week.
This was a shock. I was always told that there was a dungeon here, but it was nothing more than a mere prison cell. Yet, as I stood there, I beheld a hole leading into darkness with faint gleams of iron bars in a single file.
I had read from one of Aarav’s books that the dungeon was used in ancient times as part of an extended punishment, where the condemned were sentenced to an incredibly long time in this dark dungeon.
