Chapter 9
Gabriel’s POV
It was Aarav, the oldest member of the pack. He was so old he had seen three alphas of this pack change one another. Me being the third, he would see, and if I were to bear a child, then he might as well live to see fourth.
“It’s about Daniel,” I said.
“Is it?”
“It is.”
“I believe the first problem a person faces, especially a leader, is when they are incapable of identifying their problems.”
“What do you mean?”
“What’s the problem?”
“It’s Daniel. He rebelled, and they expect me to kill him, but I can’t.”

“Because it was my fault he rebelled in the first place. I ought to take the fall for that instead of pushing it onto him for no reason,” I said defensively.
