Chapter 26

Diego scratched his head as he tried to relax on the bed he was lying down on. New thoughts slowly filled his mind as he began to wonder why Sofia was acting the way she was acting. It was as if she was slowly freeing herself from him and it didn't make him feel comfortable in any way. It made him feel as if he was some problem that she was trying to get rid of.

Diego looked at his phone as the thoughts of calling Sofia slowly filled his mind, but he pushed the thoughts away and decided it was best for him to focus on the present.

"Dinner is ready, Diego!"

Diego got up from his bed as he saw his mother approaching his room.

Diego made his way downstairs, following the aroma of his mother's cooking wafting through the house. His stomach rumbled in anticipation - her meals always hit the spot after a long day.

"Smells delicious as usual, Mom," he commented as he entered the kitchen.
