Chapter 69

Sofia was surprised when she got a call from her best friend, Diego and heard him crying on the line.

"Is everything okay with you?" Sofia asked him just to be sure that he wasn't in some form of trouble.

"I am fine," Diego responded. "I just need my best friend to talk to, Sofia. It has been a long time since we had a deep conversation."

"Okay, okay, just take a few deep breaths for me," Sofia soothed. "I'm here, you can tell me anything, you know that."

She heard Diego inhale deeply a few times before he spoke again. "It's Ava...we had this huge blowout fight and I think...I think she might break up with me."

"Oh Diego, I'm so sorry," Sofia said sympathetically. "What happened? You two seemed so solid the last time we talked."
