Chapter 109. The Siege of Aurion
Celeste’s POV
Rydan and I stood frozen, our breath hitching as we took in the full scale of the devastation wrought by the explosions. Around us, houses collapsed into roaring infernos, their wooden beams crackling under the infernal heat. Villagers sprinted through the haze, their faces twisted in panic as they desperately sought escape. Worse still, enormous black werewolves prowled among the flames, their scarlet wounds gleaming like fresh paint across thick, matted fur.
“Dreadmaw pack!” I roared, rage surging through my veins. The murderous intent radiating from me instantly alerted the nearest wolves. Five hulking beasts lunged forward, claws outstretched and jaws snapping.
“Hyah!” Rydan barked, stepping in front of me. With a fluid motion honed by years of training, he unleashed his signature left-handed technique—an Arc Flash that ripped through the air like lightning. The blinding surge of energy slammed into the wolves, throwing them off their feet.
