Chapter 26. Initiation into the Sun Order

I didn’t pause for a second; I accepted the strange man’s proposal immediately. He led me far from the mountain and even farther from the life I had known. I abandoned everything—my home and even my name—dedicating myself wholly to one goal: vengeance against the horrifying creatures called werewolves.

He took me to a sprawling town named Aurion, a place devoted to the worship of the sun goddess Auraya. There, he brought me before a grand green cathedral adorned everywhere with her radiant sun symbol. Worshippers had gathered inside, each seeking Auraya’s favor for different reasons.
