Chapter 12. Vampires Cheated
A puzzled and floating mind made William shiver as he sought to uncover Marie’s real identity. He sat in his chair, staring at his computer, and played the video on the link she had given him. It made him feel like there was something he needed to research further about Marie and dig for more information.
However, he paused the video, and its last caption revealed an address. At first, he didn’t mind it, but later on, he decided to write it down on paper and stood from his chair. Curiosity drove him to explore the area, whether it was a simple village or something more mysterious.
“Interesting. I guess no danger awaited me there, or worse, it was a vampire trap,” he muttered.
He turned around, dressed perfectly, and left his room. Using his car, he followed the address he had written and took an alternative route to escape heavy traffic. Within fifteen minutes, he parked his car in front of an abandoned building and, feeling a bit scared, proceeded inside.
