Chapter 48. Surprised Ambush

Sweat kept falling on Kylian’s forehead as he caught his breath. He sat on a rough bed, looked around the tiny and messy room he currently stayed in, and realized it was already morning. The sunlight hit his skin as soon as the wind blew the curtain at the window at the side. With a sigh, he returned to bed and realized he had a bad dream about his parents.

‘Rendall! Rendall!’ That’s what Kylian could hear from his fearful mother in his dream, calling out Rendall, his father, who had died between the battle of the vampires and the league.

Kylian had a blank mind. He kept thinking about why he had that kind of dream and thought it had a meaning he needed to find out.

‘Maybe mom needed my help,’ Kylian thought; his heart beat fast, and he still didn’t know what to do or when to start looking for Madison again. ‘Wait for me, Mom. Wherever you are, I am sure our paths will be crossed once again.”

His mind remembered that Clover might be the one who could help him
