Chapter 51. Obscure Feelings
Moans, in tremendous pain, were heard inside the safe house where all the wounded members of Le Lunes were placed.
“You’ll be fine after this,” Dr. Ted said and injected a serum into Marie’s right shoulder. She was the last to be given a blue vial Dr. Ted had formulated. It contained a unique blend of compounds. “It’s a bit painful, so I hope you will stand it for your own sake.”
Marie couldn’t reply and just lay on the gurney, bit her lower lips, and closed her eyes simultaneously to handle the pain. Dr. Ted had already removed the injection and placed some cotton on Marie’s skin, and remained at the side of the gurney to observe Marie’s body reaction to his formulated serum. His findings and conclusions proved it could help the victims not to turn into a vampire. However, the wounds and injuries would heal faster than the span of an ordinary human.
