There was nothing unusual between Terence and me after that day, although for me personally, whatever was between us was always special.
We met. After class, when I went to the cafe shop where he worked, or he came and waited for me in my faculty cafeteria while feeding the cats outside around there, or I deliberately came to his campus to pick him up.
I never stayed at his apartment again, and he never came to my house again.
I don’t know. We felt close, but also distant. But, I didn’t ask for more than that. I just wanted to keep seeing him, hearing his voice, or if I was luckier, being close and touching him.
