Chapter 17. Be Careful What You Wish for

Hektor rode happily down the mountain of the gods. He spurred his horse and didn't even take half the time to get home and talk about his plans with Yuki. He found her strange, different, as if she was hiding something from him, but he was too happy to worry about that little detail and invited the princes and his friends to celebrate with him and made plans for when he was a god.

Time passed and a few weeks later, Yuki announced her pregnancy. Hektor invited friends again to celebrate the good news.

Giovanna, however, only three years old, looked coldly and indifferently at her father when he went with Yuki to tell her the news. Hektor was annoyed by his beloved daughter's lack of feelings, but the wizard made him believe that her reaction was motivated by jealousy at the knowledge that she would no longer have all the attention to herself. Hektor was worried for the first time about this situation. He didn't want his daughter to be despised because of hi
