Chapter 18. The Temple of Hektor
Hektor paid no heed to the magician's words and went off to order them to build the largest and most splendid temple that had ever existed.
Many men came up with their ideas drawn on parchments made of animal skin. Hektor thought they were all too simple. He wanted something different, something innovative. After a few weeks, he was thinking of giving up on his dream temple when Giovanna entered the great hall for the first time, carrying a roll of parchment under her arm, and stopped next to him.
"What are you doing here, my child? You know I don't want these men looking at you with their lustful eyes."
"I have here with me what you so desire, father."
Everyone at the table laughed. That day, he had met with his princes to talk about building a common temple.
"Then let me see." Hektor replied affectionately, but he was also finding his daughter's audacity amusing.
