Chapter 31. The Sacred Vows
Brendon entered the small chapel on Raika's parents' farm and made his way to the altar to stand next to the groom. He noticed the admiring glances of the young women following him as he walked down the aisle and felt embarrassed. They were girls from Raika's family. He couldn't go out with them. It would be considered disrespectful of him. Jordan's parents were there too and waved goodbye with their hands, smiling, when they saw him enter with Mr. Miles, who preferred to watch the wedding from the back row.
Brendon fumbled in his suit pocket and breathed a sigh of relief when he felt the ring box inside. Jordan would have killed him if he had forgotten them.
