Chapter 89. No Way out
Giovanna woke up feeling cheerful. She went to the kitchen, but nothing had been done yet. The food was still on the kitchen table. She shook her shoulders, hummed and put the kettle on. She sat at the table thinking she needed to run. It had always been therapy for her. She had slept so well that she felt ready to run a few kilometers before going to college. But she looked at her cell phone and discovered that she didn't have time. She would be late. She went back to her room and grabbed her backpack with all her books and drove to college in her mother's car. She was going to ask Jordan for a more modern one, but she wasn't going to get rid of it. Not because she wanted to honor her parents as she had said the night before, she was glad they had... abandoned her.
