"How is she?" I asked my brother, looking up from the file. After a whole night of getting lost in Delaney, literally, she had refused to be left behind in the mansion. So we brought her with us to the office, but only an hour into work, she fell asleep. So Kai carried her to our penthouse, at the topmost floor of our office building. She would be safe there and also be able to rest without any disturbances.

Kai sat behind his desk, adjusting the collar of his shirt. "She didn't even stir. I left a note on the bedside table in case she missed us when she woke up."

"We really did overexert her." I sighed, putting the file aside.

"She's the strongest she-wolf we know, she will be okay," Kai soothed, turning his attention back to his computer.
