"I wish she had our marks, officially bonded to us. Then we would share her pain," I spoke, looking at Delaney's sleeping form on Ronan's bed, her chest falling up and down slowly. After hours of trying to soothe and calm her down, she had finally slept.
"I know," Ronan answered dejectedly, looking at the time on his watch.
We hadn't slept a wink, just sat there, watching her in case she woke up crying again. The sun was almost up, the birds long awake chirping, but she didn't stir, and we hoped she would keep on sleeping to rest her mind.
We scented Elias even before he knocked on Del's door. "Come in," Ronan spoke before the noise of the knock awoke her, adjusting his position on the edge of the bed. Elias walked in, his upper body tense as he looked at Delaney.
