Chapter 10
“So, Michail, how long have you been doing quests for the goddess Aphrodite?” Artemis asked as she sat on the chair across from the mortal.
It had been some time since they arrived, ever since Michail had drunk the antidote. He's been feeling better than before, and despite his wound still open and bruised, he could no longer feel the excruciating pain, which was more than enough for him.
“It has not been that long yet,” Michail admitted. “I think it was just two or three days ago when I began confessing my adoration for her; I set out for the bottom of Mount Olympus and began to pray to her loudly. I almost died of dehydration and hunger until she appeared to me, and that was when I began my quests.”
“You really do adore her, then,” Artemis commented rhetorically. “Tell me, what was the first quest like?”
