Chapter 9
Martin always had a way of picking at him. Be it during a briefing or an actual mission, it seemed if Teddy wasn’t being teased, then it wasn’t a complete mission. Frankly, Teddy was getting used to it by now. Eight years was a lot of time to get used to something, and he sure was getting used to it. However, that did not erase the fact that he still wanted to roll his eyes each time the man began the drama.
“I must warn you boys, though. You have a job at the night club and nothing more. Just get to the place, find out and gather what you can, throw a few cash, those kids do seem hungry there,” he said.
“We got you loud and clear, sir,” Teddy replied, hoping this time Martin believed he was listening, which, in truth, he actually was. It was hard not to when the man had a terrible bass voice that seemed to echo right off the office walls.
