Chapter 9
Katelyn’s POV
“Eligor!” I immediately called Eli when I saw him leaving a grocery store. He was carrying a lot and didn’t look like he had a car, so I called him and decided to drive him home.
When I rolled down my car window, he smiled right away. I could see how happy he was to get a free ride home.
“Are you an angel? Did you fall from the sky? Haha, perfect! Because I have a lot to carry,” I opened the trunk for him when he answered.
“Stop the flattering, put everything inside, and I’ll drive you home,” I told him, and he did it as fast as a second; he got inside my car.
When he sat next to me in the front seat, I realized how strange it was that I felt so at ease with this man, far from how nervous I felt when sitting next to Gadreel.
