There was an information desk facing the entrance; from there, they would have to choose which direction to go, to the left wing or to the right. And by the end of both hallway directions, there were elevators to take them to which floor they were going to see their patient’s ward. Next to the lift was a fire exit on the right.

Trisha did not reply verbally; instead, she pointed at the elevator to the left. Her mom’s ward was on the fifth floor of the left wing of the building. They walked a few more steps to get into the lift with Denny’s right arm still hanging on Trisha’s shoulders.

Anyone to see them would never have thought they are just bound with a client and service girl arrangement. The man was somehow protective of the girl not to be bumped around by many people walking along, and across the hallway going in and out, while some were from the same and opposite directions to where they were heading, while the girl was not rejecting or protesting, she was smiling
