Chapter 250. Breaching the Agreement

“Hi, sweetie!” Angela greeted sweetly when she saw Aleah was awake, rubbing her belly mindlessly as she stared at the ceiling. She was in deep thought. “A penny for your thoughts?” Angela smiled as she softly spoke.

“Hi!” Aleah replied with a smile back at Angela. “A lot… I guess I have a lot to think about,” she added as she looked down at her tummy with her hands on top of it.

“You don’t have to be thinking of it alone. Please, promise me you won’t hide anything from me or whatever is bothering you,” Angela sat by the side end of the bed, facing Aleah.

“Thank you,” Aleah murmured. “I am worried about many things, I guess. What if I am not enough?” Aleah sighed.

“Denny called, he had to follow his missing brother, who he knew boarded the plane going to France, but he is back already. He was too worried when you did not answer his call. He called Carlo and begged us to help him talk to you,” Angela cautiously stated. “We did not tell him anything about your c
