Chapter 97. Cautious
The two had a simple and peaceful breakfast. Trisha was extra attentive to what Mister Vero would need. She was keenly observing with extreme discretion in fear that her client would feel comfortable because of her. Yet, despite her attempts to make her actions unnoticed by the other person with her, the man was pretending he did not know what she was doing. Not because he did not like it, on the contrary, he liked the effort she was making.
"Honey, you should start your day with a full stomach," Trisha reminded Denny as she filled his plate with food.
Denny smiled. He did not say anything. He did not agree nor deny, but he ate whatever she placed on his plate.
"What do you usually eat for breakfast?" Denny casually asked. He grew up in a family with a hot drink, usually coffee or tea, and a tartine. It is a baguette, sliced horizontally, slathered with butter and/or jam, as their normal French breakfast. He wondered what about this girl.
