Chapter 4. Treat Like a Gentleman

This black wolf was nearly twice as big as a typical wolf. As he fought off his enemies, he seemed to move in and out of the shadows. The smaller wolf tried to get away many times, but the beast kept holding on to it. I knew the black wolf would not stop until he killed the Rogue. He was out for blood.

The wolves kept fighting until I could no longer see them in the woods. I finally got up on one leg and started hopping deeper into the water. I had to get to the other side of the wide river. I didn’t want to use my magic, but I would do anything to keep from drowning.

Halfway through the river, I turned around when I heard a helpless howl behind me. I knew that the brown wolf had just died. When I thought about Rogue never being able to hurt anyone else again, I couldn’t help but smile. I was kind and cared about life, but I also knew that when a beast had so much power and was so dangerous, it sometimes had to be killed.

Now, the water was up to my shoulders, and my leg hurt like hell. I stopped for a moment and focused on my wounds, which made them get better faster. I didn’t have enough strength to heal them completely, but if I could make them hurt less, I could move the water away from me and finish crossing.

As my magic held me in its grip, strong arms wrapped around my waist. When we touched, my breath stopped in my lungs, and I actually moaned as I put my head on his hard, bare chest, and he lifted me up like a bride.

“What the fuck is wrong with you, you little wolf?” Jasper said as he took me to the other side of the river.

“I’m sorry.”

“What the hell are you doing here? Are you that black wolf?” I asked, staring in awe at this beautiful man whose lips were so close to mine that they hurt.

“What? Wolf, black? They no longer exist if they ever did.” He laughed and shook his head.

I hit him on the arm. I remember what I saw. “Don’t make fun of me!” He laughed even more when I poked him in the chest with my finger.

“You’re adorable. I saw you run into the woods, so I did something stupid and followed you. When I heard you scream and the wolves howl, I knew you were Rogues. I almost dragged my behind out of here, but then I thought, I can’t just leave your body here. That wouldn’t be very nice of me. I was surprised to see that you were still alive and trying to drown yourself.”

“You’re a jerk.” I rolled my eyes. I thought he was my hero, my midnight wolf, but it’s clear that wasn’t the case.

I tried to get out of his grip because I could see that the water was getting shallower, and I could reach the bottom. Before I could run away, he grabbed my leg tightly and looked at the cut. He looked confused when he saw my cuts, which were almost all healed. I’m sure he saw it gushing blood into the water not long ago.

“That looked a lot worse,” he said with worry in his voice. When his fingers touched my thigh, the electricity went right through us. I could tell by the look on his face that my skin against his was getting him excited.

“The Rogue barely hurt me, and since I’m a werewolf, I heal quickly.” I jumped out of his arms and said it quickly. I didn’t know what to do, but he couldn’t have known about my magic.

When I finally got free, I stuck out my tongue and splashed him with water. He laughed and covered his eyes with his hands, then splashed me back, which made me squeal. As he chased after me, I ran toward the shore. We made fun of each other and laughed until we forgot who we were and what had just happened.

His smile went all the way to his eyes, and his big laugh made my heart jump. When his wet, black hair fell in front of his ice-blue eyes, I just wanted to stay here forever.

Once he caught up to me, he grabbed me around the waist and threw me back into the water, turning my scream into a gargle of water.

I was now in the river up to my waist and shaking out my red wig. “Alpha Jasper, you are the worst knight in shining armor.”

I saw how my words made him gasp for air right away. When he heard his name, his eyes turned black with desire. There was something strange and mysterious about this man.

“Do you want me to save you, little wolf?” he asked as he came up behind me.

I saw how the playfulness turned into desire and couldn’t stop myself from getting excited. As Althea came to the surface, silver began to swirl in my ocean eyes.

“Please give him to us all, Elise,” she said in my mind. As we watched his chiseled body get closer, Althea begged in my head. I put my hand on his bare chest and ran my hand over his smooth, hard muscles. As Althea put him in one naughty position after another in my head, my fingers followed the curves of his six-pack.

Jasper expressed a soft sound of delight as I touched him, evoking a sense of happiness within him. He placed his hand on my chin, capturing my gaze.

Leaning in, he kissed my lips gently, then shifted his attention to my ear with a swift movement. The warmth of his breath added to the intensity, causing a heightened sensation.

“Don’t start something that you’re not going to finish. I promise I won’t treat you like a gentleman.” He whispered, then kissed me from my jaw to my neck, biting and pulling a little as he went. At first, the pain made me gasp, but then it only made me feel good.

His face and body were both tense. I’m sure he could have felt how scared I was in the elevator. He didn’t try to get away from me. Instead, he carefully kissed me and watched my reaction to each touch.

No matter how hard my mind tried, I couldn’t stay away from him. Althea didn’t help, and I could tell that his strong Alpha presence was making her feel helpless. I knew that he wouldn’t be a kind or sweet lover. He was strong, and his wolf had to be completely tamed. As an Alpha, I wasn’t sure if I could give him that.

He gently moved the top of my dress to the side, and I couldn’t help but let out a soft sigh. His touch sent shivers down my spine. Although I didn’t expect it, I found myself drawn to this man.

I felt a rush of warmth as I held onto his hair, deepening our passionate connection. His touch on my waist was firm, causing my dress to bunch up slightly. I couldn’t resist wrapping my legs around him, and my body responded with a pleasurable arch.

Our connection was intense, leaving us both breathless. He guided me with his hands, bringing his lips back to mine. At that moment, I surrendered and let him take the lead.
