Caius’s POV

I couldn’t believe what I saw. Finn’s arm was around Elise’s waist, and Sia was right behind them. “Seriously! You guys believe all that crap?”

“What do you expect from your heirs, brother?” Chris said this to Kalix while shaking his head.

“You don’t know the King or what he would do to us all if he found out we didn’t drag her home. He has planned her whole life around what he wants. From the people she talks to, the people she hangs out with, and the things she does. Finn might seem like a king-licking jackass, but he knows how to play the game and is her best chance of getting away from him. Kalix spoke, but his words were hesitant as if he wasn’t sure why he was telling them all this.

“Whatever! I don’t get pushed around by the King, and if our “Queen” wants to bow to him, we’d be better off without one!” Chris thought they were all awful.
