“What does that even mean, punished?” I looked at Kalix and tried to tell him in a quiet way how much danger he was in. If Caius didn’t like what he said, he would cut off his head.
“I don’t really know. It’s never the same. When she does something that makes the King unhappy, he makes her favorite breakfast and drags her away for the rest of the day or sometimes for two days. He makes her remember her place. If you want to help her, you should go back to her room tonight. I’m sure she will need help when she gets out of jail.”
