Chapter 17. Decision

Carlos was happy that he was at least able to get back to his own building before he threw up.

After Frank had been killed, the Man in Black told Stones to “take care of it,” then marched out of the black room and into the building, into the sunlight. He then told Carlos that they should have a family dinner in the evening because he had a few things to take care of.

“Oh, and before I forget,” the Man in Black said after taking a few steps away. “The race track we were supposed to visit, let’s make that one, shall we?”

Carlos walked home and wasn’t even sure how he got there when he did. It felt almost as though he had disappeared from the building and appeared in his own. He told himself it was the shock.
