Chapter 216. Fever
She wasn’t sure if the hours she spent on the cold ground or the psychology changes she experienced or the stress of the past few weeks of intense training that was too much for her body finally catching up on her, but Lo fell extremely sick after she’d cried a decade worth of tears into Petra’s shoulder.
She’d woken up with a fever and muscle aches that felt like all the body pains from all the trainings she’d ever done were pressing down on her in one day. Her head ached and spun and she slipped in and out of consciousness way too many times.
The first two times she woke up she woke up to a blurry disoriented view of her room in Petra’s house. She was sure she threw up quite a bit the first time and both times, Petra was there in sight. It made Lo feel reassured even as she laid down. She was not sure about the passage of time at all; she could’ve been sick for days, weeks or simply hours but she had no way of telling.
