Chapter 58. The Great Union
Savannah’s POV
“Savannah Amelia Wilcox!”
As soon as I walk into the house, I hear my full name reverberating loudly around the walls. I look to the side and see the door to my dad’s office ajar.
“Come in here!” he yells again.
Swallowing hard, I quickly fix my hair and clothes, covering up my neck on purpose. I’ve also squirted mountains of perfume before I walk in to cover up any scents he might’ve picked up.
“Dad!” I beam. I might be beaming a bit too hard, so I tone down my voice when I say, “How’s it going?”
I stand in front of him as he sits on his desk, behind a mountain of paperwork. He looks up from his document and eyes me up and down. I keep an even posture and a smile on my face, projecting as much innocence as I can.
“How was your trip to campus?” he asks finally.
