Chapter 57
Hazel’s POV
My body refused to move.
“Pray tell, butterfly, what are you doing here?” His voice was as vicious as his eyes and the golden orbs looked down at me with a teasing grin. Several thoughts ran across my mind and I looked around. Aloysius and Georgia were gone, and by the amusing look on his face, I doubt if he even heard them. Should I tell him? The thought vanished as soon as it came. He would never believe me and why should I? Why do I even care if someone was planning their demise?
Angling my head to look up at him I flinched as he grabbed my forearm and pulled me sharply, forcing me to my feet. My body tensed as he shoved his face into my neck. Terror kept my muscles locked, and any thought of fighting back. I could never outsmart him, any of them.
“Tell me, butterfly,” Veles reached around my waist pulling me into him. His lips suddenly hungrily kissed the side of my neck and started to hold me a little tighter. I felt my body
