Theodore’s POV

The awkward and tensed silence draped around that I was sure my anger could be seen clearly. Maids had stiffened as they lowered their heads. My mother seemed more distressed by tension on her features and her hold over the chair as it hardened and her worrisome eyes glancing our way.

My claws threatened to elongated and rip his heart out before feeding his flesh to demons luring inside me. Yet it’d be an act of mercy. Temptation urged me at the edges of my sanity before I demolished it. Hayden might be a family, but we both knew the word was destroyed between us long ago.
