Isla’s POV 

     I walked Into the room to see Max sitting up in the bed, not a mark on him. 

    He had healed so quickly, and I was so happy about that. 

    “Hello, my beautiful girl.” he beamed as I threw my arms around him and squealed with happiness. He picked me up and spun me around. He was so handsome and strong, and I was so lucky to have him as mine. 

     “Cora and Miller are here. That so-called father of mine is out there as well.” I scrunched my face and wished he would have left us all alone. 

    Max laughed and ruffled my hair. 

    “I already know about that. I also hear that Miller wants our help. How do you feel about that?” he raised an eyebrow and cocked his head to the side, waiting for my answer.
