“Kids, the police won’t let anyone out soon.” Edgar told Charlotte and Leo “I need you to promise me to not cause anymore troubles. Please, I am reaching my limit.” He left them guarded by the darkness servants and the police and got out.

Detective Mrs. Herana arrived promptly on the scene, met by a distressed Edgar, who wore a troubled expression. Walking alongside him towards the ballroom, she wasted no time in questioning him about the incident. “How did such a thing happen, my lord, when you are the one securing the ball?” she inquired, her tone filled with concern.

“My men ensured the safety of the food and beverages. What occurred was beyond our control,” Edgar explained with a hint of frustration.

Mrs. Herana pressed further, seeking to understand the motive behind the poisoning. “What do you suspect?” she asked.

“Somebody deliberately put poison in her beverage,” Edgar replied, his voice tinged with suspicion.
