Chapter 41. Abusive Men
As Lola stood trapped within the nightmarish labyrinth, her mind began to reel with memories from her past. It was as if the walls of the labyrinth whispered echoes of a time long ago, a time when she was just a vulnerable child.
She remembered the cold and foreboding basement that her father would lock her in whenever she dared to defy him. The very thought sent shivers down her spine. The basement was a place of darkness and despair, a symbol of her father’s control and dominance.
The air in the basement was stale and musty, filled with the scent of dampness and neglect. The walls, coated with peeling paint, seemed to close in on her, suffocating her with their oppressive presence. The floor, littered with discarded objects and broken toys, was a treacherous obstacle course that added to her fear and confusion.
