Chapter 45. Hunger
Lola found herself confined on a cold throne in a dimly lit room within Edgar’s castle, her hands bound and her spirit wavering. The air was heavy with an eerie silence, broken only by the distant echo of dripping water. Hunger gnawed at her stomach, and her parched throat cried out for a drop of water. But Edgar, determined to break her will, had devised a cruel plan to weaken her resistance.
