Chapter 44. Conspiracy
The wicked stepmother of Lola, who had fallen victim to a poisonous plot, instructed her maids to summon Miel to her room. Miel, unaware of Mrs. Hellsing’s intentions, received the message and made her way to the grand chamber where the stepmother lay, frail and weak.
