As Lola sat on the edge of the bed, her hands still bound by the remnants of the previous night’s events, Edgar approached her with a mischievous twinkle in his eyes. He held a pair of silver scissors, glinting in the soft candlelight.
“Now, my dear Lola,” he said, feigning a serious tone, “it’s time to free this delicate neck of yours.”
Lola raised an eyebrow, eyeing the scissors warily. “Please, Edgar, don’t go all Edward Scissorneck on me. I’d like to keep my veins intact, if you don’t mind.”
Edgar chuckled, his voice rich with amusement. “Rest assured, my love, I have no intentions of reenacting any horror movies today. I may be a vampire, but I promise I won’t bite... well, not your wound, at least.”
Lola couldn’t help but giggle at his playful remark, her eyes sparkling with a mixture of relief and amusement. “Alright then, Edgar. Just promise me you won’t get carried away with those scissors. I don’t need a new hairstyle to go with my newfound freedom.
